I love fly fishing. Even more, I enjoy helping others land trout on a fly rod. It’s this love (some might call it an “obsession”) that led me to create Teton Fly Fishing. I started it because I want you to have the best possible Jackson Hole fly fishing experience. Over 20 years of guiding around Jackson Hole, I continue to love being on the water and sharing my passion for fly fishing with others. I only book one trip per day, ensuring that you work with me from the time you book your trip, through our time together on the water.

During our day together, I’ll teach you all about fly fishing – casting, entomology, reading the water and more. Unlike others who simply float down the river, I love getting out and helping clients fish smaller side channels along the way. This provides time for fishing and fishing tips at a relaxed pace. My mission is for you to learn a thing or two about fly fishing in Jackson Hole, while enjoying the thrill of landing some Cutthroat trout on a fly rod.

I live year round in Jackson with my wife, Jamie and our yellow lab, Lulu. In addition to fishing, I have a passion for fine art and guitars (i’m a junkie when it comes to Martin acoustics and Fender Telecasters). When I’m not out on the water with clients, there is a good possibility that we are out as a family, fishing! In the winter, in addition to guiding some winter fishing trips, I spend my time painting, building cigar box guitars,  playing guitar, teaching art and fly tying classes and substituting in the local school district. When the cold gets to be too much, Jamie and I often try to sneak south for a week or two of bonefishing and relaxation. Of course, many evenings are spent tying flies for the upcoming fishing season and daydreaming about the fish that will inhale them.
